Attached are case studies, dealing with national security and human rights. The country reports are from Germany, the UK, the United States of America, and a further study that is looking at the Council of Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It is important to understand that dealing with national security and human rights faces some conceptual difficulties \u2013 at the outset, it must be emphasised that the understanding of national security is different in the analysed countries. This cannot be extended here, but must be kept in mind when reading the reports. By and large, the understanding of national security reaches from an understanding that is concerned with law and order in the traditional understanding to an understanding of social security and the security of the social order, then including education, health and others. This question is presented more in depth in an introductory overview study, not looking at different countries but trying to present a comparative perspective on the different understandings of national security and its meaning from a human rights angle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
