Audacity is success — not guaranteed but if you don’t try it you lost already. The current US-president is following this line and now claims the nobel prize for peace. Ridiculous, bold, naive … — there are many possible interpretations. However, one that is frequently employed is completely missing the point: that there is just a madman and after he left the stage the world will return to normality. In fact, the real problem is that he is part of a new normality of some actually say that it is an old one: they (much earlier I did so myself, in a book titled New Princedoms. Without going into details of this discussion, the important point is to avoid being distracted by the manifestation/expression of the real problem: individualism. It is a key word — capitalism with the butcher, baker etc. looking after their own interest (Smith), imperialism with its America first (Trump, and so many others want to be at least the second), influencers with their followers (the modern clergymen, having a heart for every single sheep) etc. are closely linked to it.
Indeed, and here is Trump in fact correct: we find a polarisation of policies, politics, and polities. But it is exactly these quasi-tyrants, preaching water, distributing putrid water and themselves drinking the best of all vines.
The fact that measures enacted by Trump are again and again by courts is nearly more remarkable than the measures themselves — here law is an instrument on a battlefield, replacing political debates; the fact that politicians and their local offices had been again and again attacked during election campaigns in Germany, violent demonstrations and measures to control them …
The outcry that followed the assassination of right-wing activist Charlie Kirk should have come earlier, just as the protests against right-wing extremist parties in several European countries should have come earlier… at the latest when capitalism felt itself to be unquestionable. And now we see the crocodile’s tears, being used to move further into dark ages: A newspaper headline of these days:
They call it war. After the murder of Trump confidant Charlie Kirk, America’s right wing is becoming more radicalised. And it continues to push further into the centre of society
It is the beginning of a reign that can ultimately only be described as tyranny: starting with accelerating social cuts and the increasing division of society, through the growth of a bogus economy, to murder.
And part of such is, not to be forgotten, the trade war – at the centre of which we find the USA but by no means standing alone. That the German Rheinmetall, outstanding corporation in the armament sector is engaging in a fusion, which just passed the Federal Cartel Office (https://www.bundeskartellamt.de/SharedDocs/Meldung/DE/Pressemitteilungen/)2025/04_04_2025_Rheinmetall.html) is part of polities where Nobel prices may at the end be awarded to new nobilities that, in reckless ways, move into global destruction. But mind, Marie Antoinette and the reckless disrespect she showed towards the people of France should be a warning: The extravagance at court, coupled with disregard for the hardships of the people, shows the path taken by the nobles, forgetting being nobel.
